They had to do that because of Ryan's decision's and incompetence, I'm astounded that anyone reads or listens to him at all.Why don't we insert ourselves into the Iraqi desert with no way of escaping because we are on foot.The only team leader to adopt this method.He should have been court martialed,never mind writing book's.

I saw on another video with a former CIA employee that the "lie detector" test is also used to identify topics that are potentially sensitive or inflammatory to the interviewee. Whether it's a lie or not, comes down to subsequent questioning by the interrogator; but it can also be used to figure out further lines of questioning/pressure points etc.

There is a lot about UKSF Selection mentioned by a lot of forner SF soldiers. Nit much is known or mentioned about this final phase. It is most likely the most closely guarded aspect of Selection. Many people who have made outstanding times on the hills and/or displayed quintisential solidering skills in the jungle have fell short during this final phase. Imagine all of that effort, 5-6 months disolving in an instant. It goes to illustrate how SF members must as mentally robust as they are physically.
@paulwalsh6734

Yah. Most people can train for fitness or aquire the skills if they work hard. Being able to get through sleep deprivation and interrogation is something else entirely. These SF guys are a different breed. Uk SF usually aren't muscle bound and just look like normal people. From what I've been told anyway. I never served.

@@paulwalsh6734 I only served in the RAF for 20 years. I met some SF lads and had a mate for a while who was ex 22. I think they must be amsued by the 'god like' staus they are viewed by. The guys I met came in all shapes and sizes and some you would never have beloved they were SF operators if your life depended on it. Humble, funny, kind, quietly confident and an intrisic intelligence....naybe not high IQs type intelligence but the ability to take on complex information quickly.
