Whenever I see the Beetronics pedals I wonder what the usecase would be for most of their functions... With so many options and such aggressive tones I don't consider them very usable in a live context. In a studio I could see it, but that makes me think that it should probably be a plugin... Anyway: Great looking pedal; if I could think of a usecase for myself I'd get it.

That Leslie sound was absolutely competitive with what I’ve heard elsewhere. Now debating whether to get a Les pedal at all. Or just use this as Chorus and Les.

In the end it reminds me Subdecay Quasar DLX Deluxe Phaser, that box was really neat and well engineered. The best way to describe Beetronics Saebee is "messy electronics" looking towards old Pigtronix effects. I am not selling Boss CE-2W. No way :-)

It is sad that BeeTronics released this pedal a few weeks after the Jackson Audio "New Wave" release...both of these pedals owe their design/concept to the Chase Bliss OG/first release...the Warped Vinyl. After watching a few examples on the Tube, I would take the Jackson New Wave...can not see a better use-case for the BeeTronics. Just one nerd's opinion.

Too my taste effects are there to add to the tone in a subtle way. This is different and hopes that you almost play the pedal and not your guitar. For 300+ you will have a honey moon period of a few sessions and then another dust collector in the shelve (or hopefully are able to return it within the four weeks). If you still can get your hands on a Suhr Alexa go for it. This is the opposite. Great pedal for Chorus and more. They stopped producing it as it was too costly in the manufacturing.

Sasha, so what do you recommend? Selling my Boss Ce-2W and getting this? I havent't checked the price of Beetronics' new chorus, but I bet it also belongs to the category "the price you never heard before" :-)

It’s $349. Don’t sell the boss. Have them both, if you can. If you cannot and are interested in something with a lot more features, this will certainly do everything the boss does, plus a LOT more and you can save it on presets and just go back and forth from classic chorus to more expressive and different stuff or sounds that just don’t exist on other pedals. Just sayin ❤

I want to own a Beetronics pedal but you highlighted an issue which puts me off for the price they are - their complexity. It's disappointing to hear that you had to have an hour sit down with the pedal maker to understand it. I wanted the Zombee pedal but all the switches and options it had made me wonder whether I could a) understand it and b) whether I would actually use such a huge range of options and if I was overpaying for a few things I would end up doing with it instead. I'm not the kind of guy that only likes super simple 3 knob pedals either (unless they sound incredible), so I am prepared to do some tinkering to sculpt my tone, but when it becomes having to have an hour tutorial to understand the thing, that's when the usability and design have to be brought into question that the makers need a better design balance towards intuitive focus, rather than overly complex and hidden features with alt buttons and alt switches and secondary modes.

There's no need to spend $350 to make useless, sometimes disturbing random noises......just buy a kazoo and leave it at that. Sheesh.

Agreed, I ended up getting a jam pedals waterfall. It sounds more musical and I don't need to speak android or cyborg to understand it.
