As someone who is going into professional rigging, I can tell you that there are around 50 layers/symbols for a whole character. It depends on the character of course, but Id say thats the average
@NurulSera3 жыл бұрын
Once you started to get more into tweening and your animation has effects, backgrounds, etc, it's a pretty normal case. You just need to figure out how to organize your layers well

I have always been inspired by videos with animators and artists behind the scenes. The release of this video is even more pleasant for me because this video was created by you, Sashley, cause you are one of my favorite animators! Thanks for your creativity! (Ah sorry maybe i said something wrong, I'm not so good in english)
@solarpunch3333 жыл бұрын
Heres a tip for organisation in Animate: if you're creating a rig with tons of layers, I'd recommend to colour code them!! Its sooo much easier to search for body parts when you can just see the colour of the layer. If your right click the layer and select properties, there should be a little coloured square. Select that and click what colour you want. Exit out of that menu, and on the layer, next to the outline button (where the eye and lock is) is a dot. Press that and boom!!! Your layer has got colour and isn't just the default grey!!! This makes animating complex stuff sooooo much easier. EG, all my right arm pieces are yellow, so now instead of reading the layer name, i can just see the colour!!! Id also reccomemd to name your layers in all caps. This is something I do that just helps me read them better compared to lowercase for some reason

can you help me with something else? to extend frames.. sashley only explained how to do it with a shortcut (f5) but it wont work for me... i don't know how to extend frames
@solarpunch3333 жыл бұрын
@@jwjwjwjwjdjd That happened to me because my f5 button doesn't work. You can edit your shortcuts by pressing edit at the top and keyboard shortcuts (if I remember correctly). You could also right click on the frame that marks where you want to extend frames (eg, if you want your animation to be 100 frames long it would be frame 100). Then press 'add frame' (or something along those lines). Sorry if that wasn't explained well, I suck at explaining things

gonna be honest, i hate doing tweening with a passion because everytime i try to do it, it never fuckin works, so i just resort to frame by frame as my main thing. i have so much respect for people like you who manage to tween stuff so good like this because it's hell for me

What if you try a different tweeting software? I struggled with tweening in one software and then switched to Live 2D which is much easier, it works on rigging which is a little bit more complicated tweening it's great nonetheless

I loved this video! I love when people show their process of animation, is very entertaining and you can learn things you didn't knew! (And honestly, I agree with you, adobe products sucks a lot) And I agree with you, is unfair to call tweening lazy, it "may" be a bit easier than animating things frame by frame, but, it costs a lot of time too and it's hard too.

OMG! You completely changed my view of tweening! I used to think like a lot others that tweening is just a shortcut for frame by frame animations. I also use Adobe Animate, but has never really used tweening other than color changes (with shape tween) and mock camera movements. But after watching this video, I was struck dead with that screenshot of your work in progress with tweening X,\ What I'm trying to say is that, you demonstrated how tweening is not a shortcut and can be amazing when used right and with effort put into.
