Hilarious the one bear rolling the barrel on the other bears head lol. When the bear is right below you, do you ever get the urge to screw with it

0:43 - he can smell you for sure but not bothered by it a bit. I guess the food is too enticing. 13:35 - geez, the bear on the right looks big enough to be a brown bear (not to make a joke about coat color, which I like a lot btw) - but size of it outclasses typical black bear by a LOT and adding the brown color, too - if I were in Alaska I would swear it was not a black bear but a brown.

Baiting bears is the most efficient way to judge sex and size. It's that simple. And- if you think it's a walk in the park try to arrow a true trophy and then you'll know.

To take idiots to hunt might be a big responsibility. I saw at least 2 times during the video the "Hunter" handling the crossbow improperly, seems the guy wants to loose his hands.

Call it what you want, as long as you don't call it hunt.

1st I have hunted and harvested bears ! 2nd I’m a avid outdoorsman I hunt to eat I trap too have fur a fish to eat ... I harvest wild edibles to eat . But Bear hunting over bait is just so un Ethical in my book . The bears get accustomed to the sound of the 4 wheeler bringing in food that it’s almost like someone putting a leash on the bear and tying it to a tree to be shot . I know it’s legal I know it’s how it’s been done for a hundred years but there’s really no sport in it. Now if it was purely a hunt for food to feed your family then yes making it as easy as u can makes sense. My bears were harvested in North Carolina where baiting is illegal and you want a good bear you must put in the research and leg work the trail cams and your dueling wits with a wild bear not a hand fed basically pet bear that’s accustomed to being brought food . Now this is only my opinion and mine alone. Yes I plant food plots for whitetail deer... but I don’t hunt them I hunt funnels from bedding areas to food or water sources ... it just bothers me to kill without hunting ... native Americans didn’t fill barrels with jelly donuts ... they hunted. I feel we owe it to the animal to be hunted with skill not a grocery cart.

I've never hunted anything but white tailed deer here in Upstate New York. Having said that, I can tell you that I totally agree with you, I will go one step further to say if someone is hunting, they better be damned sure they are going to put the whole animal to good use. It really pisses me off when someone is "just trophy hunting". It's either that or make sure to find someone who can and will make use of the whole animal BEFORE going on a hunt, no wasting of any of the animal. I've always been against baiting of any sort. The way I see it; is get your ass out in the wilderness, check out the game trails, water sources, find where favorite foods are growing and HUNT for where you would like to HUNT. If you do it right, it's not easy but it is satisfying as hell when you drop that buck after all the hard work of finding him. I also believe that everyone who shoots and kills an animal should also be able and willing to butcher it and pack it out. I don't hunt anymore, I am 62 yrs young and my health is not what it was back in the day. Now that I am a granny, I leave the hunting and such to the younger folks.

Just curious, what is in those containers that attract the bears and how do you distinguish a boar from a sow?
