Me, too -- but we had a hayrack behind the baler, and someone stacking the bales onto the hayrack as they came from the baler. Then you pulled the full hay rack up to the barn, unstacked the bales and threw them into the haymow, where someone pulled them over and stacked them neatly in the haymow. So you manually handled the bales 4 times while storing them. Then again when you fed them. Rather inefficient really. But that was how it was done 50 years ago.

Crops look great! Not as good as... Whoa! Wow, those legs. Would love to see them...dancing...yeah, dancing. Can imagine them riding a bronco - just need the hat. Yay, Nic! That was the way bales were done on my cousin's farm; towed a wagon behind to stack the bales on rather than dropping them on the ground. Unloading in the hay mow was super special fun!

Over here u. Northern germany,we are in combinig season. If the fall rye is such a great crop, why font you try a few hectares of einter barley? The worst that could happen is thaat you have to reseed with spring barley, but usually, at least ober here fall barley has bigger heads on fewer stamps, and barley is quite resistant at frosts as well

Some people might be interested, but I just looked up the word history for rape seed. Because you know it sounds weird. It turns out that the original plants scientific name is Brassica rapa. Which means plants of the turnip. Rapa means turnip in Latin So they change the name to canola here in the states. I don’t know if it’s rape seed and everywhere else It’s the source of canola oil
