Hats off to California Dairy Farmers as they deal with so many state regulations as well as rising costs and lack of water. Thank you farmers. From Bakersfield California USA.

I’ll take a wild guess you are from the suburbs or a city and you are judging people with a 1000ft scope in something you have no experience or expertise in . You base your opinions on emotional ideology instead of logic and reason becuase your an idealist and “feel “ things should be done a certain way because that’s what makes you “feel” better. The irony is yes concrete is not a natural habitat for cows but with our population and demands it is what’s necessary and what is required to achieve product objectives! If you have a better way please let us know how your experience and expertise can better the agriculture industry! P.S I’m born and raised in the SF Bay Area so my opinion is coming from the urban side of things lol

I agree with you factory farmed dairy cows not really a good idea . However well done. What becomes of the bull calves? And all the calves that are removed from their mothers at birth? Dary cattle should as much as possible be kept on grass and fed on grass, cow cake is for heavily pregnant cows and winter feed. And I am a dary farmers daughter from the uk, not a vegetarian ubernite.

It's truly impressive to see a dairy farm successfully manage 2400 Jersey cows, especially in the picturesque setting of California! The scale and efficiency of this operation must involve some remarkable strategies. I'm curious, what are the key aspects of dairy farm management that enable such a large herd to be maintained effectively? Also, how does this farm ensure the health and well-being of the Jersey cows while maintaining high productivity? It's fascinating to get an inside look at the operations of such a substantial and well-run dairy farm

They've been selective bred to produce as much as 10 times their natural quantity of milk so they need to milked in order to relieve their distress. It's the equivalence of having 10 or 12 years old with a pair of Dolly Partons bursting with milk that need to have the pressure reduced. It's not a laughing matter. Go vegan.

Its farms like this that have ruined the price of milk for smaller farmers. In the long run they have hurt themselves because the price for milk is so low the only way to make money is with huge volume which in turn drives down the price of the product. A vicious circle.

You have to commend your family members to sustain through everything in the past 50 years that has come through all the legal courts on farming and financial issues which broke many farmers especially in the Midwest… I saw many third and fourth family generations break I lose a farm that they’d work before the 1900s they no longer could afford to Keep! Really proud of your family and I really enjoyed particularly being able to watch this dairy farm as that’s what we had growing up. My father especially preferred jersey cattle as did my mother however, there came a time when I remember Holsteins joined the farm and I did not like them as a child as their feet were SO BIG & THEY WERE SO MUCH TALLER THAN THE SWEET, CALM JERSEY’s!!!! We were selling our milk to a large grade a company that is still in business and I wasn’t let in on the private decision making process… Rather I just took care of the separator and we were doing everything at that point in the mid 50s by hand and I was never so happy as to see those Holsteins leave our dairy farm a few years later. I know there are people that love them because as you travel across the Midwest you will see farms that are strictly Holstein but I’m with you guys… Jersey all the way❣️❣️♥️ I no longer live on a farm but if I’m painting a baby calf, there’s none any cuter than a jersey calf with his big brown eyes and his big dark nose I looking up at you and there will be a little legs and they are just adorable no two ways about it!!!! Every year than I make it to the state fair in Iowa, I make sure that I make it to the barn where the Jersey cattle are because they always have a cow or two that give birth to a jersey calf and it just makes my day. I would love to see your baby calf barn in one of your videos!! Continue to watch your videos and kudos on making it all these years and standing up through the California regulations. I’m an interior designer and the licensing for California and the rules for building a house is 10 times harder there is anywhere else in the USA FYI. Wishing you the best of luck and kudos on having the cleanest dairy barn I Ever Saw😊♥️🌈
