In my experience, weapon two, especially the kunai, is very fun! I often even find myself ignoring the sword in favor of the kunai. I only started playing again recently, so that may be a low elo take, but it feels rewarding to use for me!

My biggest peeves with Sasori is that his main gimmick, the poison, simply doesn't do enough. With give and take nerfed, the only thing the poison is good for is tracing (and even that got nerfed heavily) and fighting the occasional chavez, we're basically locked with passive 1. Furthermore, all his expertise revolve around the not-so-useful poison, making them kinda redundant. We're just looking for the easiest and fastest way to apply it, if we apply it at all. I really think they could do a rework of his abilities, so they all make the poison unique in some way. Passives could each make it apply a different debuff, so they all work with W3, and expertises could have a different poison lenght/do something else than poison (bubble could slow or be obscuring like vigil's smoke...). For his W2, the devs really put themself into a corner, they make this espionnage game, but it's actually a lot of focus on the fighting, and the TTK is not that high (except for cavaliere cough cough), and then what do they do? Make a weapon that, if correctly built around, can basically one shot an agent. To keep the game's identity as they envision it, they had to nerf so it doesn't do that anymore, making it subpar...

I'm not even 100 hours into Deceive Inc. and very much still learning some of the nuances to each of the Agents but as I was unlocking the Masteries I fell in love with Sasori and his Weapon 2, Passive 2 combination, only for the nerf to hit 2-3 weeks later and now I feel I cannot use him as effectively and having to definitely adjust and practice more with his Weapon 1. It might be I was getting lucky in the matches I had and the Weapon 2, Passive 2 was a little too powerful during those matches but definitely feels much weaker and the numbers show it.

So have been playin sasori a lot recently, and whilst im in no way a expert i do think you mentioned the bullet points needed for him. His weapon 2 is a very good close range weapon id argue, cuz of the very respectable burst damage you can do via charged kunai - charged blade - melee or a similair charged kunai - blade - e2 - blade, but is under the assumption that you get the drop on someone and that you get close enough to do said combos which is a big ask for a already situational weapon. And of course p3 getting nerfed hurts its viability quite directly cuz of how sword oriented it is. And yes, recently traced has been not wanting to trigger on poisoned targets, but after trying em all it seems its only e2 that has that problem (which fun fact is exactly what happened against the chavez at the end of game one). W3s sword in particular i dont mind the low dmg, but it should definitely have its slow duration increased by a second or two to accommodate for half of your weapon being no better than a melee. Lastly e1 has the same problem as w2 which you mentioned, which is excellent expertise until you get ambushed, and suddenly you have to either lose a second to apply it or lose your passive to go on the offensive immediately Anyways yapping sessions over, would love to hear comments on what others think🫡

Weapon 2 is actually my favorite/most successful sasori weapon, I play it kind of like I would any of the ace weapons, in and out of cover while charging kunai/sword super fun imo ^_^

Octo's kinda in the same boat Was Sasori where most of his loadout options suck. W1 is okay, W2 is bad, W3 is good. E1 is held back by its cooldown, E2 does nothing, E3 is potentially best ability in the game, then P1 got gutted, P2 is goated, and P3 may as well not exist.

W1 -> Sword takes too long to use. i almost never use it. I find it pointless because speed that you throw darts exceeds slash. 1 headshot is doing same damage as sword and it is global range. like why bother to ever go close to anyone if you can nearly 3 tap. I suggest making it that if your slash an opponent below x value, you execute them. Like sword does 30 damage, if health below 60 ->2x damage. W2 -> Sword does too low damage and Kunai charging is weak for ambushes. Shield is also nerfed so if you get ambushed, your worst character in the game. His give & take passive is trash. W3 -> Sword is bad. He should throw his sword and sword should slow for 5-6 seconds.
