That little scene at the end where Orochimaru takes back his own Chakra from Kabuto and reverts him back to his former self was somehow beautiful. It didn't need to be explained by any of the characters in the scene, but you could feel Orochimaru's intent behind it. Orochimaru lived in a dark world, completely by his choice given the path he chose, however I don't doubt that he enjoyed the company of Kabuto, arguably his closest companion. Watching him develop this complex to be someone else, to be something he's not saddened Orochimaru, he just went up to him and made him the way he was, as he knew him. There was a part of him that cared about Kabuto and wants him to be content in life.

Don't forget that Kabuto absorbed Orochimaru chakra to even attempt to master Senjutsu, Orochimaru was reclaiming what was once his.

@@mr.shin.5138 I mean, it's pretty clear that Orochimaru was very much a different person after being resurrected. He had plenty of opportunities to screw people over afterwards, but he didn't. He saved the Five Kage, he helped Sasuke, then helped save his life without so much as attempting to steal his body or anything else even while he was in an extremely vulnerable state. It's also been shown that Orochimaru was not, in fact, always a complete psychopath. When Dan died, he was shown to be saddened, he grieved for his parents, and cared for both Jiraiya and Tsunade, once. If he wanted to, he could've easily stolen all of Kabuto's chakra, and had he been the old Orochimaru, he probably would've, especially after what Kabuto did. That aside, there's another thing that, in my opinion, strongly points towards Orochimaru's care towards Kabuto; the way he raised Mitsuki. Some of the main lessons he passed down to him were to be his own person; make his own decisions, and find his own way. All of them, lessons aimed to steer him down a path that was the exact opposite of what Kabuto did out of admiration for him. Psychopaths thrive on admiration and adoration; if he didn't care for Kabuto, he would've killed him; especially after all of Kabuto's bragging about surpassing him and becoming the perfect being, especially given that Orochimaru's goal was also to become the perfect being. The old Orochimaru wouldn't have tolerated such an insult. Instead, he calmly walked up to Kabuto, took back his chakra, and given that he precisely absorbed all of his own chakra and NONE of Kabuto's, he was clearly expending actual effort to leave it intact.

nah he was only able to beat Orochimaru because Sarutobi took most of his hand sign abilities through the reaper death seal. Otherwise the magnitude of horror and damage Orochimaru could have done is unimaginable. This Orochimaru, then absorbed all the techniques and abilities from Kabuto and reached sage mode without having to train, He also got all his ninja techniques back when he did Edo Tensei with and brought back the other Hokages. This is also an indication for every individual Orochimaru put a curse mark, he can either pull other versions of himself out or just absorb every technique each individual, that has the curse mark without training to attain anything. I wish Orochimaru was stronger, he is my third favorite villain besides Madara being my first and Pain my second, the thing that makes him third is Orochimaru can't use his full Strength and sage mode sadly, also pretty weak with what he has he is like the Voldermort of Naruto, yes he is Immortal but he can't even beat a school. I wish he got more powerful.

Bro is stronget than Hiruzen. He was playing with Hiruzen all the time while Hiruzen was all serious, so old man had to use a cheat to kill him, and still failed. Orochimaru is the guy that won't necessarily fight the enemy to the death. He rather observe stronger enemies than fight them so he could learn their weakness. Surrender to live another fight. Back when he was in Akatsuki, he pushin Itachi to put a Genjutsu to him and give up. He probably can counter the Genjutsu at this point. That's Orochimaru for you. You will never see his full strength because he never use it to the fullest anyway
