man watching these is like rewatching the show, i hadn't remembered how much kakashi trusted sakura, he always gave her the orders and trusted she was the one with the most common sense and was so kind to her, it's so cute. (and he was right, team 7 had 3 braincells in total and sakura kept them all to herself except for the few times sasuke took one.)

One of the things i love about Naruto is that they give us a view of what's going on around with ninjas and even how the children feel during a war. They dont only focus on the show being about fights and cool plot twists. It definitely is meant to teach and reflect on the real world imo. The story telling is just so natural even if you guys think is slow. ALSO i think kunai throwing is sort of "testing the waters" first move because you never know the level/power of the ninja you're confronting so yes you have the time to hit but you could just be going to your death in that moment like the guy getting cooked trying to save the Hokage. Trust that the series has reasons for not doing the "obvious" things, like going under the floor of the barrier its probably because the barrier also has a floor barrier silly kids. But i still like watching your mind struggle with Naruto buahaha

Naruto's biggest drawback is its pacing and its fillers and both of which are because of how it was aired. Unlike modern anime which release seasons every year, Naruto came out every week throughout the year. And because of that its quality animation was reserved for key episodes like Rock Lee v Gaara. I love that you guys are still giving the show a shot despites yall's qualms with it, because if I were to start naruto from beginning at my age, I doubt I'd have the patience for it. Everything you dislike about the show so far doesn't exactly change, but the storylines unravel in a way that'll make the experience better.

Someone needs to make a super-edit of the entire anime. Cut out all of the unnecessary flashback we've seen ten thousand times, every little pull of the sword in between Gaara's fight... Whatever scene Knohamaru has that adds nothing to the story. I'd fcking pay for it.

It's not just throwing kunai. That's just the most basic attack. It's essentially suppressive fire. Forcing the opponent to take counter measures to avoid being stabbed. If the enemy is busy avoiding kunai from all directions, they aren't using that time to cast crazy powerful ninjutsu.

That's actually a good point, I think this is more obvious in Shippuden. In a lot of the later Shippuden fights there's an emphasis on spamming basic techniques to distract or occupy the opponent.

36:39 Throwing Kunai isn't lame. It is a way of Ninjas to assess strength and cause distraction while saving Chakra and coming up with a plan in the meantime. What I love about old shows is that it doesn't go directly in mindless fighting to break the area around.

@@4mtitan743 Budget and time would always have been a constraint. But that doesn't change the fact that Kakashi and Guy won't start displaying their cards right off the bat. How do they know what the other person has? And how much Chakra they will need to bring that person down? Also, if the other person is throwing Kunai, you won't just use fire against them. You will try to block the attack.

The reason they start fights by throwing kunai is to gauge how strong the enemy is, you're not going to show your enemies all tricks off the bat and of you can defeat them with a kunai, then you dont have to waste extra energy, especially when fighting multiple opponents, also it can be used to keep distance, you don't want to get too close to an enemy you know nothing about.

This was the actual strat. It wasn't that Sasuke BS'd his way to weightless Lee speed in a month (and also mastering Lee's taijutsu that he used vs Gaara despite not being present for the fight) - Kakashi just borrowed the hyperbolic time chamber for the month and haxxed the training time. That's why his hair grew so much while Naruto's didn't at all. lol

Cannon's reactions are what happens when a new anime fan starts with only modern anime like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan. He needs to understand that these episodes came out in the early 2000s and how much different and restricting animation technology was back then. Not every fight is going to be a Jujutsu episode and if youre expecting that youre going to ruin the show for yourself. Anime isn't always about god level animation so its kind of a shame to see how uninterested he looks when watching this show and looking for any chance to whine about the low budget fights and animation.

Don't blame new anime enthusiasts, blame those who request them to react to animes in the wrong chronological order. Everywhere I see people requesting non anime enthusiasts to react to anime, these requests almost always tell them to react to new Gen animes first instead of the classics/earlier legendary ones. By doing that, their anime standards are set way too high as first time anime watchers then it's extremely difficult to watch classics like early one piece, bleach and naruto because the technology in animation is not as advanced as now, the pace of the stories is very slow til much later in the series and these OG shows were much longer back then which takes more time to get into and finish. Anime lovers/enthusiast should be more careful when requesting non anime enthusiasts/watchers to react to anime shows, do it in chronological manner so it's more natural for them to get into this shows with as little complain as possible. Can't blame them.

Actually, yes. Sakura does have a little resistance to genjutsu, only because she’s so good with her chakra control she can sense disturbances in her chakra network. Another reason why she’s so underrated and she’s not even from a clan at all.

I feel like watching too many new gen anime have 'ruined' (for a lack of better word) everyones perception of what a good storytelling is.....like geez have some patience! It will be much more impactful if there's a build up and a payoff....not everything has to be a flashy fight (which dw naruto has literally some of the best of them) I agree the pacing is little slow at the start...but what more do you want to see? Awesome 1 v 1 fights.....a story arc explaining the MC and his counterpart....and how they bonded. Now you are LITERALLY getting a full on INVASION arc...and this guy is just focusing on Kunais. I feel like these guys have put Naruto as a series in a bucket of their mind that is labelled as "old and slow" and they're just not opening their eyes to see it otherwise....which is fine I get it its not for everyone....but then don't watch it?! Sasuke can almost copy any technique with a few exceptions like Kekkei Genkai(Clans unique skills like Haku's Ice Mirrors) and certain techniques that require a certain condition to use like Neji's 8 trigrams 64 palms. Sasuke wouldn't be able to copy that technique because he wouldn't be able to see the Chakra points.

As a Naruto fan, I've always wondered why I only read manga but never watched the Naruto anime until Shippuden. Damn. Kishimoto's manga art style is far more beautiful and deserves more appreciation.
