Oh btw my Magic stat was irrelevant, I mostly kept it high in case I needed to gem any of the problematic minions, but wasn't needed. (Freikugel EX scales with level, not stats)

This is the most "honest" strat for a SMT superboss I've seen. Most other videos go for Omagatoki Strategize cheese.

It just feels tedious that just to get to him you need to do 2 NG+'s just to get him and do yet another NG+ just to access the new mode

Turns out you don't need any NG+ to fight him, just beat true Luci, make a clear save and reload your non-clear save before Luci and the quest should be there (CoV only of course). The whole multiple NG+ thing ended up being bad journalists being bad journalists so they spread a lot of misinformation rofl. True Masakado is the only one that requires NG+ cause of the true sword being in CoV and need to send it to CoC. (You can still fight Regular Masakado wihout NG+ though)

Its because of Intercalation skill gained from Tsukuyomi Median essence. it adds one press turn whenever you dodge an ability, which is why he kept spamming Luminescent Mirage which guarantees evasion from 1 attack.

A strat I can do without spending a fortune in macca for new demons and I can pull off with the ones I currently have? I love it I need to try it out when I have the time! I'm not going to do it on hard but hopefully Agrat makes a good replacement for Masakado.

Yeah the Masakado slot is flexible, as long as its someone that can help you kill the problematic minions fast enough (preferably also giving you a half press turn), you should be fine. Masakado is just extra nice cause his dmg output is high enough to keep this somewhat short for a non-speed-kill strat video.
