Very happy to be able to share Nusantara recipes with you.
Today I will show you how to cook Sate Buntel, a typical menu from the City of Solo, Central Java, Indonesia.
I made this menu from goat meat, but it can also be replaced with chicken or beef.

INGREDIENTS :
- 1 kg Goat meat, chopped
- 5 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 65 ml thick / instant coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons tamarind water, from 1 tablespoon tamarind
- 1/2 - 4/5 kg of goat fat in sheet form
- 1 egg
Fine seasoning (stir-fried):
- 15 cloves of red onion
- 4-5 cloves of garlic
- 6 cm galangal
- 6 cm ginger
- 2 lemongrass stalks, take the white part
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp pepper powder
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 2 tsp coriander
- 2 tsp broth powder
- 2 tsp mushroom stock (if available)
OLESAN SAUCE:
- 10 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp pepper powder
- 5 tbsp cooking oil (I use olive oil)
COMPLEMENTARY SAMAL:
- chopped cabbage
- sliced cucumber / pickled cucumber
- sliced tomatoes
- sliced chili
- sliced red onion
- 5-10 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce
