In this clip: Sarah Jessica Parker, James Wilkie Broderick (1:41), Cynthia Nixon and John Corbett.
About this clip: Carrie, in the most anti-Dalloway* fashion, runs from street to street, from the Brady in the perambulator to the Tate in the sling; from boyfriend to boyfriend through a Verizon call and from preaching Miranda "looking and talking" to avoid doing the same when in her worst outfit. Carrie also throws a bit of Macroeconomics joke, invoking both Keynes and Eliot. The bathetic scene ends as Carrie contrasts the NASDAQ going down with the uppity of her cinema-date with her very own Candyman: "Berger".

*While a comparison between London metropolis of perambulators and parasols post WWI with its Piccadilly, Oxford and Bond streets and New York with its boroughs and subways post 9/11 may be bland, Carrie of early 2000s may be compared with the creator of Clarissa (the literary anti-type and foil to Carrie), "Virginia Woolf", who very much like Ms. Bradshaw wrote in the 1920s for Vogue (as also Good Housekeeping). Also, I am the boy crying Woolf because she was a Bloomsbury friend to both Keynes and Eliot. More here: sexandthecityc...
