I'm happy to see the GCC countries building up their military capability instead of expecting the US to do everything for them

Fuck the GCC.

The GCC gets USA Military in exchange for only accepting oil payments in dollars. The Petro-Dollar is why you can pay a dollar for food at mcdonalds and the nation can endlessly borrow. Its tit-for-tat.

ants kilu The Suez Canal traffic passes through the area so it's a hot bed for pirates. So people put military operators to protect cargo. Just like the Chinese are looking to build there as well.
@antskilu13548 жыл бұрын
yep but now there is two channels so that if aircraft carrier stuck in on channel,other will be used . french gear mostly that shows french greedy constuction companies after finishing dubai,doha.ect. will fight for iraq,syria rebuilding contracts. ..or maybe they found new LNG terminals near the coast like egypt and izrael lately? but yeah like stratfor claims post china will be in indian ocean and southAM so important region.

It's a good location in a stable country to project power, supply humanitarian missions and conduct other operations in Africa. Djibouti has a long history of hosting foreign bases and it's a major part of their economy. Most other countries in the region would not host a foreign military base because of political considerations or their people would object

ants kilu IIRC some 4 or 5 countries have bases there. It's a good place to operate inthe middle east, the suez channel and indian ocean. Also they let everyone use them as a base so there's that

The problem is not wahabbi , many doesnt know the salafi fought with founder king abdulaziz in 1930s but they lost as he was supported by brits. The salafist want to overthrow the present monarchy and same implies in other gulf arabs. Certainly iran is more powerful than saudi. And the beijing cooperation is getting stronger with iran and hopefully turkey on their side. I think the world is waiting for me to take power in Afghanistan as the heir of ahmed shah abdali
