28:50 A local friend was doing card sharing up to about 2015. Every now and then his PC would wake up and start doing something when the keys changed and the TV picture would go black and after a few minutes it would come back on again hehe! After a few years they changed some other major stuff and he said it was no longer possible. He didn't say but I suppose it was the card-box-marrying thing. Nowadays there's a lot of free-to-air channels and it's fairly easy to get most stuff for free if you have a big enough satellite dish. Now he watches stuff from South Africa and some other southern hemisphere locations (this is Australia) and he can also get the local TV stations from the East side of Australia that broadcast about 3-4 hours earlier heh!

For these commenting on this, I see a long 3 mins+ skipable pre roll tech ad for bihl-wiedemann who are a German company I think. I often see their ads on my vids and sometimes in English though his one is with Spanish audio. O got at least one mid roll (tech related) and one a the end, mobile phone related and again Spanish language

Another thing they do to stop hacking/sharing is limit the sale of the boxes to 1-per-person and log name/address etc. A local friend is into it and he regularly buys boxes from the same dodgy seller and sets them up for people. He has one in his name plus his wife, kids, other relatives and other friends. He's probably bought about 50 in the last 5-7 years.

Rich Fantastic video learnt so much about how the smart cards work On another matter I think it would be great if you set up teaching on the channel as I watch it to learn things about electronics as I spent my time in electrics manly power generators using electronics for control but not understanding how it al worked
