One thing I'm impressed with with satin ice buttercream that I saw in another video by global sugar art along in your demo here is that it's like smooth really smooth. 😲 You really get a homemade buttercream that looks like that to be honest.

How much does the 2lb cover? I’m doing 3 cakes this week and was wondering if I should get 2lb or 5lb -Also noting the cakes aren’t gonna be huge. Probably 2 stacks max each

Very interesting. You used the paddle and I saw another lady use Satin ice and she whipped it with her whip attachment. Which is correct?
@MercedesStrachwsky3 жыл бұрын
You can whip it also but I generally use the paddle. It really depends how long you mix it for and how soft your butter is. Sometimes I use a paddle and also whip it but you just have to feel how you like the texture best. Hope that makes sense.

Thank for the informative video, one question tho, can we substitute the water for heavy whipping cream?
@MercedesStrachwsky3 жыл бұрын
You can :) I actually use the heavy whipping cream when I make the chocolate buttercream and its perfect.

How many day can I keep it in the fridge
@MercedesStrachwsky3 жыл бұрын
I generally make enough for the cakes we have for the week and try not to stay past 4 days in the fridge. You can def freeze it but I like to just make it every week.

Thank you for the informative video .. i have a question.. what do you think is this product is hood under the fondant? Does is holds it’s shape to just do sharp edged fondant covering?
@MercedesStrachwsky4 жыл бұрын
Yes we use it as a crumb coat for all our cakes. I place it in the fridge after and it keeps its shape perfect for fondant.

Can you use with Russian tips
@MercedesStrachwsky4 жыл бұрын
You can...the Russian Tips require a little firmer buttercream so you can either add less water or add extra corn starch to make it firmer.
