Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Play alone or with friends, explore an alien planet, create multi-story factories, and enter conveyor belt heaven! In this complete beginners guide to Satisfactory, I will explain to you the basics from the ground up by starting a brand new game so you can watch and even play along. I will explain the controls, the UI, the mechanics, how to build, craft, explore, and automate. I detail my thought process, sharing tips and tricks along the way but I spoil nothing about the game or the story. I don't force a particular style or tell you exactly how to win every encounter, but rather help by providing the fundamentals so you can enjoy Satisfactory at your own pace. The best thing about this game is that you get all the resources back when you dismantle something. It would have been an unplayable mess if you got penalized whenever you mess up a build or just need to move stuff around.

I don't think anything beyond the most basic building (the HUB) uses raw ore, so there's little point in not crafting it all into ingots as soon as you can Limestone -> concrete -> 1 storage box should keep you going quite a way into mid-game; earlier than that there's no other use for limestone (& plenty of uses for concrete in large quantities), so you may as well set it up ASAP & just leave it running 1 normal basic ore node feeds 2 smelters, which can go into a box once you get splitters/mergers. From that box you can split the ingots to feed the number of constructors you wish; initially 1 each plates & rods (split again for screws) from iron; similarly for wire & cable (later to include sheets) from copper IMO it's materially cheaper to build the smelters near the nodes, as belts are more expensive than poles. Initially you'll prolly belt everything to the HUB anyway, but later on you're likely to need that space for other machines, so you may well find yourself building the basics in segregated areas anyway YOU'LL ALWAYS NEED MORE SCREWS! :)

Hear you loud and clear, just can't hear the game dialog at all. So while I see you do things, it's loads of silence when game is talking explaining things.

I'm sorry it sounds like that for you! I just tested it and can hear the game audio and voices fine, but maybe it's because I'm wearing headphones? I will raise the game audio on this one in the future! Thank you for letting me know.
