When the YT algo shows me a quality video on my feed from a creator with only 15 subs, I know I've trained it well.

Great summary! Touching upon the pillars, it's part of the introduction video that plays when you first start the game and is the FICSIT motto, "Construct, Automate, Explore, & Exploit." Simplifying it into the three pillars and then explaining each one was stellar. Exploit really is how much you'd like to play the game, the personal difficulty. Whether it's through alt recipes or however your personal playstyle is, you decide that. Very well put!

Buddy - this is next level for a small channel. Even the neo 70’s music works. Excellent work. Many channels with 5 and 6 figure subs could learn from this videos style.

Really good essay. I started playing this week and I really like your analysis. The music is a bit loud at times, like around the 7:00 min mark

I have NEVER played a game that respects my ADHD riddled squirrel brain quite like Satisfactory. Absolutely genius. Never would've thought in a million years that i would find managing the logistic side of a conveyer belt one of my favorite hobbies.

I’m a few minutes into the video and look up to see you have FIFTEEN subs?!? 😂 This video was am awesome analysis of the game I have been highly addicted to the past 2-3 months, and you sir, have a knack for sharing it. I am excited to see what else you come up with! This was a great video, and I’m going to share it because it deserves to be seen! Thank you 😊

Great to notice the kid, I vividly remember, more than often playing Rise of Nations & IGI with his cousins on my desktop, having evolved into a game designer of caliber over the years. Splendid self narration, while steering the game is quite amazing to watch & hear. My blessings to the dear grown-up-kid (Honey Baba) for achieving this level of command in the field of his interest. May ALMIGHTY ALLAH help him to add numerous feathers in his cap. Aameen

A thing I'd wish for - and I am absolutely not sure if this works with Satisfactories game philosophy - would be more stuff to beautify the base. You know simple things like ladder railings (that for one give this industrial look to those perilous 1500m tall ladders and second make it easier to get ON the ladder from above without falling to your doom), simple furniture and such things. So that you can run your factory, while you are free to build your dream mansion - or at least have offices, supply rooms, cozy social rooms, more than ONE toilet on the whole planet... better looking fuse boxes and such things. Considering there's a good bunch of players who are crazy good with designing stunningly beautiful factories... I guess, there's a few players out there who'd like to have even more options to go mad with design.

I was thinking the same. Right now the art of building in Satisfactory mainly consists of placement methods that: a. are not once explained and only achievable through trial and error or KZbin tutorials b. feel almost like bugs that were left in the game as people were using them for creative building (such as so many buildings having different surface, rotation etc.) c. are incredibly tedious to perform. Sure you can create some blueprints to make it less of a pain, but the games building system should not be this tedious in the first place. From a high quality game like Satisfactory I would expect a accessible way for any player to create, not what we have right now. That being said, of course building beautiful stuff ain‘t the main focus of a factory game and Satisfactory already manages it way better than let‘s say Factorio, but I hope they add more buildables as you mentioned in the future.

You made some excellent points about player imposed difficulty, and I think it kinda ties into something I've noticed and that you didn't touch on. Namely how the game treats time: If the production speed of something is too slow for your liking you can "simply" solve that issue by making more of it. Except it's not simple because because you start running into new problems that have to be solved with new solutions and paradigms (which, let's be honest, you probably enjoy figuring out at least a little if you're playing Satisfactory) The end effect of this is that players sorta get to choose between building bigger and better factories or they can just wait/let the factory run in the background while they do something else in the game if building big factories like that feels too daunting or uninteresting to them. I do definitely feel like the shortcomings of the game's building and blueprinting systems start to go from inconveniences to problems once you start building at larger scales. (I'm starting to get really sick of building manifolds and trying to find good land to build refineries on since they don't really stack vertically, for example) And yeah definitely turn the music volume down in the future, as someone else has already said.

I spent the last appr. 300 hrs or more setting up my train network, just to have them running in th background and to get to every biome and corner of the map, even have a station on the Isolated Island in the South-West (and I DONT throw my Uranium waste there, I produce Plutonium Fuel rods and sell them and get 25K MW out of it). Life's good!

Really good video you made. Ive been thinking of making my own KZbin channe for a while, mainly gonna make videos similar to this. Essay videos or anything that talks in depth about the magic of videogames. Good luck on your journey, and keep making quality content like this. Also great taste in music, can you list the music you used here?

Satsifactory gives you the ability to choose not to lay out factories using all the alignment tools they keep trying to get you to use. The most efficient way is also the most boring. I need water for this device. Which is the furthest place on the map from me right now? I'll use that location for the 120 water I need, and run thousands of metres of pipes across mountains and through infested caverns ... then run a single power line all the way back .. The proper game loop is: "Is it efficient? Yes? Then refactor it until it isnt." Carefully balance your sushi bus conveyor until it all goes to hell and then pipe it all into the trash can. Set up a nuclear reactor and just dump all the waste in one of those biomes that is dark and boring. I would have liked to have to produce significantly more parts for the space elevator - say 100,000 parts each instead of 1000.
