I’m sorry but if you look at this OLD ladies skin you can tell she has had years of bad acne and at this age it is not easy to get to the doctors office much less a dermatologist. Old people’s blackheads are bigger and stickier then a teenager. She must have had pretty severe cystic acne as a teenager

When I worked in a hospital it was a very common problem but not always this severe. @@jillylloyd5069 It depends on a lot of factors, damage to the pore, the amount of care the person puts into their skin (eg. sun exposure), the type of skin, and access to expert dermatological care. Dr. Davin Lim and Dr. Sandra Lee both talk extensively about surface help with lasers, creams, and other treatments and they couple it with subcutaneous care, eg. medications and steroids that can help control the amount of oil produced. Pores certainly can heal, but manage that expectation with knowing it may not be a 100% restoration. Certainly good hygiene helps, but it’s not the stand alone answer. Hormones, oils, makeup, sun damage etc. can adversely influence the skin. I would say see your dermatologist, they have access to really excellent solutions.

There are so many things right with this video: The way you are so gentle and delicate, not wanting to cause this elderly gentleman any unecessary pain or bleeding; the way you concentrate on removing the ugly blackheads and not the underlying problems (more on this in a bit); the way you discretely discard the pore contents instead of wiping them on yur gloves; and the psychology behind the way you treat him. Elderly patients often are most appreciative of not experiencing pain or bleeding on the face. He is probably very accustomed to the lumps and bumps on his face, but the blackheads could be very disturbing to him. I can just imagine him telling his friends about how painless this was, about how careful you were, and about how pleased he is with the way he looks now. So, good psychology! As for improving the appearance of the lumps and bumps everywhere on his face, i am eagerly anticipating the future videos showing how you treat the rest of his skin.
