Well done on painting the window, and filling in the crevices and cracks. I loved the little paint roller you were using. I have a lot of painting to do in my house, mainly ceilings. However, with my CFS being worse than usual at the moment and being put off by the cold weather, I am delaying painting until early summer. The soup looked really really yummy. Making a basic vegetable stock is easy. This is the recipe I use: 1. Chop the vegetables: celery, carrots, onion and leeks. The sauté them in a frying pan to soften and bring out the flavours and slightly caramelise to bring out the sweetness of the vegetables. 2. Place sautéd vegetables into a pan and add enough water to cover them, plus a third extra water. 3. Add herbs of choice, such as: Thyme, Rosemary, chervil, Tarragon, Parsley and Bayleaf. Then add salt and pepper to taste. 4. For added richness you can add nutritional yeast, and if you want a tomatoey base flavour add tomato paste. 5. Bring the ingredients to the boil and then turn down to a low simmer for between 45minutes to an hour, topping up with a little water if necessary. Then strain out the vegetables. 6. For a thicker broth like consistency you can blend the vegetables you took out until a smooth paste and add back into the stock and stir.

You are quite right about the Behr paint. We recently painted our living room and were sold by the primer and paint in one but it was such a weird thick consistency that I thought it was expired or something. There were some spots where I can see the roller marks and others where the edging looks bad, like when nail polish messes up and gets chunky.

Your roller is so sweet. I´ve never seen such a little one. I´m still painting .. but coming to an end slowly but surely. The only time I can work on it is on Saturday. So it takes some time. Does it not feel so wonderful to refresh our homes?

22:18 It does make more sense to do Spring Cleaning in February and March instead of waiting until April. I always thought that was silly. I mean don’t people want to clean like their windows and such before spring so when spring comes you can open your nice clean windows and air out the house and spend outside getting sunshine instead being inside cleaning????? I actually use to do spring cleaning in summer when it is too hot to go outside anyway. Here in Florida for sure want to be outside February, March & April!! Now I kinda do spring cleaning all year but by bit here and there.

I agree, spring cleaning is cleaning FOR spring rather than cleaning IN spring. We also now spring clean all year round, it's easier that way.
