When you plugin usb cable from meter to usb at pc. It should detected. If not detected. There is a main problem there that you should resolve first.

Do you know if the source code is available for the editor software? I was hoping I'd be able to import ini files from King of Sat but the data files aren't in that format (out of interest, do you know what format they are in?)

You can refer the latest transponder list from www.lyngsat.com and I serta via PC editor for satlink.

Can I check signal for hd frequency?

Yes can. HD is video quality. Not a satellite frequency. We use this device to find signals from satellite. Which carrying and broadcasting audio and video.

Not recomended, Unless you sure you had an original device, and correct firmware. Otherwise your device will dead.
