I have been playing A LOT of Xenoblade the past few weeks. I never played the game and having fun getting to explore and figure out everything. I don't know how much more of the game I have, but it's such an awesome game!
I had heard Satorl Marsh before I played the game, but the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. I wanted to channel the effervescent quality into the cover. I know this cover is very straightforward and close to the original. But I wanted to highlight the original style and just bring a bit of my style to it in terms of instrumentation and the mix.
The mix was super difficult because I had a specific vision. And that meant a lot of rerecording. Ultimately, I'm happy with it and I'm excited to cover more Xenoblade stuff in the future! There's quite a list haha!
June has been a hectic month and I found it best to channel my emotions into the covers. As things have been stressful, doing ambient, more relaxed music helped me relax and process things better.
