And the Wings didn't go for the cheap shots. They played basketball. They didn't try intimidation tactics or "sending a message" to the Fever. They just straight out tried to beat them and came close to it. I hope they get that 8th playoff spot although Atlanta and Chicago are in their way.

lol. I love the wings. They all have great attitudes. I started watching because of CC but now I watch the wings and the fever. I don’t understand the wings stats this year because they are really good. Arike is unmatched imo by anyone. My fav is the fever ladies but my second fav is the wings. Even if they weren’t good I’d like them and root for them because from the coach down they talk, act and play with respect. I loved seeing kels and Arike laugh and talk during the game. You don’t get that with many teams.

Dallas fans on twitter were saying the tickets were around $300 and the game wasnt even broadcasted in their local area. Hopefully after this game Dallas fans are encouraged to step it up and get out to some games!

Here's the thing, most of those Caitlin fans are locals who are on the CC train because of the hype, and while the hype is deserved, they also watched the Wings play and what they saw was a GOOD team. Arike shooting the lights out, Sheldon being a DAWG on defense, Sabally dropping 25 with a handful of threes, McCowan crashing the boards. Those ladies earned some fans tonight. They may not be back next game, but they will be back. All those young girls there for CC, growing a passion for hoops, without access to their idol because they're 900 miles away - they DO have access to the Wings, and they WILL bug their parents to take them to games. I think Wings players get that.

Great take! I wish more people were capable of not exaggerating every single take on the media driven talking points! Erike and Satou were almost as good as Caitlin and Kelsey yesterday. Satou has a quick release and can definitely score the ball. I think they are too far off the pace to make the 8th spot this year, but being in the lottery may be preferable for them anyway, regarding next years draft!

Wings are the team closest in playstyle to Fever.. and we want Satou in Fever jersey.. 🤣 anyway, it's also a team that plays CLEAN.. no malicious intent like other teams through the game, both teams left it all on the court, so really good basketball.. Unlike Reeve's misfire at the first Fever-Lynx game, Sabally was happy to see the fans, "annoyed" about so many 22 jersey's but recognized this gave the Wings a chance to draw those fans in to watch them. Frankly with such a competitive game and NO T's or attacks and FAST PACE, they can compete hard and keep those players. I have said this for a long time, Bird's take on what CC fans were complaining about "denying" Clark. That was never it. It was about tired teams and players using the excuse of "physicality" to slow the game down and the WNBA & refs participating in that stupidity. Wings prove basketball can be exciting to watch and either team can win and no one has to bleed. Just play. Just compete. Yeah, Bird, I want enjoy watching CC & Mitchell transform the product at WNBA, and if others can beat her without chopping or fouling and refs not calling, then that's fine, too.

Clark is the first player in WNBA history to total 80 points and 40 assists against a single opponent in one season. Clark averaged 20.5 points and 10 assists against the Sky. The only reason AR is even in this absurd discussion because of her own self-promotion, has zero to do what has occurred on the floor. Do we really want a co-anything who 1. Can't dribble at all 2. Can't shoot outside at all 3. Is hitting or bricking actually less than 50% of her lay-ups, leading to 4. Completed inflated off. rebound #'s. Nor enough. CC leads her in every possible category except off. rebounds and is slightly behind in def. rebounds ( AR has 2 more per game only ). There is absolutely ZERO comparison.
