Satria Gti drive review

Last year, I bought a Satria GTI with a stock 4G93T engine swap with TD05, tuned to 220-240hp. It's got enough power for me-I don't dare to drive too fast on the street. I totally agree with you about the coilovers. Mine were set up way too hard (probably by the previous owner for track use), making it a nightmare to drive on the street. I've also driven a stock GTI, and while it could use a bit more power, it's quite sufficient. The naturally aspirated engine is more fun since you need to rev it up a bit. With a turbo car, the sudden boost can be pretty scary!

I have just bought a Satria Gti here in Australia where they were originally sold I think along with some in the New Zealand and UK export markets as well. It's certainly not a fast car by modern standards, but it's a lot of fun to drive nonetheless! I hope to be able to keep restoring it more to original condition if I can. Yours looks to be in amazing condition, even with the new paint in red 😊

Glad to hear that you have one too. Yeah, with this car it's not really about going fast but it's about how much fun you can have while driving it 😄

I had been curious to look for a Satria Gti because my father is from Sarawak, so I have seen them driving around sometimes when visiting 😁 in a few months time I will visit a local racetrack with friends; and I think I will take the Gti instead of the Skyline to try something different! Luckily a lot of the parts to repair them are not expensive to buy either.

Hi, saw you on malaysia day. Park at the rnr gombak with a standard gti. Got one myself but not as good as your car.

Hi, yeah I was there 😄 Unfortunately I had an issue with the water pump. Water was leaking out after my Genting drive. 25 year old car kan, ahahahahah. Luckily nothing major, car already at workshop to get it rectified.

my friend had an engine swap pushing 420hp one day it got stolen my friend was smart enough to put gps tracking on the car he got back the car but most of the modification part have been taken off, my suggestion is beef up the car security people will steal this car in broad daylight just for the parts.
