Satsop Hills, Part 2 of 3 - Satsop Lakes to Chetwoot/Wynoochee Lake | Olympic National Forest | 2.7k

4-day, 3-night bikepacking trip into the Olympic National Forest on the south side, an area known as the Satsop Hills.
Part 2 starts at the largest Satsop Lake, and descends to Lake Wynoochee, taking the Wynoochee Lake Shore trail to Maidenhair Falls and then down the West side of the lake to the abandoned Chetwoot campground (video is pretty dark by the time I get to Chetwoot.
This video is further evidence that the singletrack in this area should be avoided. The Wynoochee Lake Shore Trail has miles and miles of beautiful trail that never get cleared of blowdown. There was a segment at the North end of the lake that was in good shape, I think because it is a National Recreation Trail. Unfortunately the rest of it is a National Trail of Unimportance.
