Thank you for being generous and recording these developed pieces. These are also my stomping grounds born and raised so it’s sentimental for me. HMB areas are usually my favorite. I love that you’re here a bit casually today Mike. I’m so worried about Emma because she hasn’t shown up in any of her spaces for even one moment to let all of us who care know that she is okay. I know her home is probably not harmed but I’m sure her heart is. For some reason I genuinely love your girl so much as she makes us care about her deeply. ♥️

Hi Mike. Dusting off that 20 year old primed canvass added some magic moments in your brush work, plus the addition of the distant mountains works except a couple of the hard edges in them. lots of cool energy and warm feelings in this painting. Thanks

It was fun to watch you experiment with some of your older techniques. The yellow looked almost hansa yellow I’ve had good results with that in underpainting.

The water and rocks and sand dark sandy beach work well together. Great color combinations! If I were doing that painting I might have added the distant highest part of the mountains starting from the left rather than the right, for balance. I am not being critical. Just wondering. Am I way out in left field about the right side of the painting being more heavily weighted? Thanks for sharing your painting and your beautiful state. Hope you and your family and friends did not suffer loss of any kind. I know the fires have or will affect the whole state. Just devastating…😢
