Saturday at the farm, moving the sheep, a trip to the auction and the sheep are out!!! Episode 36

Today starts off with good intentions and a trip off the farm to Shelby Livestock Mart. When we arrive home however the sheep had other ideas and are sharing the chicken pen… We then head off to move some of our sheep of some land we had them on in Doncaster and bring them back to the farm where they are wormed and mineral drenched. We then put the sheep back in the bottom field only four them to take a trip back up to the farm!

Despite being the 5th generation to farm here at Horncastle Farm, we took over in 2014 with no prior farming experience. We now farm here with our two boys Herbie (6) and Arnie (4).
In 2023 we opened our doors to the public for the first time - the VLOG aims to document our journey from an arable to a mixed farm as we diversify.
