@@WandererNirvana it has changed but everything does. Venice will always have a special vibe in my opinion though. I've had apartments, lived in vans and was even homeless in Venice just after the LARiots.

I'm from the UK and from childhood had this affection for Venice from watching Baywatch, hearing of Muscle Beach etc. I went for the first time in 05 and have been many times since then. I think in 05 I got the very last bits of the old Venice before the vibe (and the prices) changed quite a lot. But man I would give anything to be able to go back and experience 90's Venice.

OK. Very interesting. I just watched a video by a vlogger taken two months later and this exact area is strewn with homeless so dense oalong the beach that it looks like India. Is there a local Angeleno that can explain this. Because this video presents a completely different place.

This is so nice to see but it's a damn shame how the homeless have ruined this area and we see families and animals but it's not safe especially when you have so much drug use! The business owners and homeowners are screwed because of these issues.
