A lot of "donations" gets thrown away, my friend because you have to remember that there are soo many people "donating" per day and they don't have enough room to keep ALL of them and they sort them out and keep the "best" ones. I can honestly tell you is because I worked for a Thrift Store company for 6 years as GM. So, remember, just because you donated something doesn't mean it goes to anybody. You would be disappointed that a lot of them goes to the dump. Oops.

It’s nice when we’re able to donate to families we know who can use the items. You must have learned so much working there about people and what doesn’t get resold. It’s an interesting view on societies buying habits.

@@Aroundtownjunkremoval Well, what I’ve learned is, if you aren’t actually donating it to someone who you know that are in need then people are just making these companies rich. And at the same time people take advantage of “donating” by bringing things that are totally useless so they won’t have to go to the dump site.
