This hit me in the nostalgic feels so hard, that I'm actually crying tears of joy. I feel so privileged that grew up along side of these shows. It's too bad the youth of today will never get the same experience. It really is a product of It's time.

@petebennett77642 жыл бұрын
They can enjoy these but only if they are aware of these shows. However they'll never get the experience of watching these sorts of shows the first time round like we did back in the day.
@grey50082 жыл бұрын
@@petebennett7764 yea if I had kids then ild try keep shows like dungeons an dragons, gi Joe, an Robotech on for them instead any of the new shows. Kids these days wld have to have awesome parents to clue them in on the goodness :)
@petebennett77642 жыл бұрын
@@grey5008 part of me thinks kids today could potentially have the golden age of animation, as in all animations of the last 100 years from around the world but then that would be a very long stretch really. But the other part of me thinks that those kids, including me, that grown up in the 1990's, I reckon we really did have the golden age of animation, not just the 90's stuff but also all of those from previous decades that were regularly repeated. Since say 2005 at least, western animation generally has gone down hill apart from the odd reasonable one and those are few and far between. Only Japanese anime has remained fairly stable/ consistent/ generally good quality or better over what the last forty years.

Negative. When FOX started making its own cartoons, it took Saturday Morning Cartoons to a whole new level and this can't be denied. The animation improved, the humor improved and they treated kids a lot smarter than before when they had shows like Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Batman TAS and many more. I've even gone out and said there should be a documentary about the impact of FOX Kids on the animation industry because they really took it to new heights never seen before.
@jamespero68032 жыл бұрын
@@osaji922 the 90s dumbed down there cartoons. In 1990 the government passed the children's programing act which toned down the violence and adult situations in cartoons. Look it up.. I think your just from a different generation and that's cool you like what you like.. the only fox show I liked was the tick
@osaji9222 жыл бұрын
@@jamespero6803 What cartoons are you talking about? I'd argue the opposite. Pre-90s was nothing but a half hour ad to sell toys and cereal. I love those cartoons but I don't look at them through rose colored glasses. I know what they were and what their purpose was. Nothing ground breaking from most of them. I love Super Mario Bros. Super Show but it's just an extended ad to sell the video game.

Where I'm from "Captain N: The Gamemaster" aired on NBC network not ABC. For me this is weird, I also heard there were other who watched shows like He-Man, Bravestarr, Thundercats, and the rest, they were WEEKDAY shows after school not Saturday Morning shows. Some like Batman: The Animated Series were Weekdays AND Saturday but this was near the days when Saturday Mornings were being phased out. Guess they wanted to get as much as they could before they were eventually shutdown.
