Page # 2 my Mother Father spoke French, my mother did not speak any English when I was growing up, my Father also spoke French, but he spoke broken English, all of my Family spoke French in our home, but we made fun of in School, while I was in the military I was ashamed to tell all my friends who I really loved, my true identity Three of my friends who first came to me to help me was Oscar Garcia, from Freeport, Texas. Richard from New Mexico, and Ortiz from Wyoming, these guy’s were truly my Angels, I haven’t been in touch with none of my friends, Because the Priest they sent me to told the Army my Confession, which I lied to the Priest because I was ashamed of being laughed at for speaking French, and telling them my true heritage, I also had some very good Native American friends that I had but I knew I only had a small percentage, One was a Navajo, the rest of them I was taking away from, another very good friend was half Mexican and half Native American Indian, his Father was Mexican and his Mother Yucky? Not sure it’s at the tip of my tongue, I had a lot of African American friends, most were Nicknames: Slim, Pig, Weadlow, DC, One from North or South Carolina, Tiny, my first APC tank Commander, E-6) Right Gunner Ralph Mesa, Me Joseph A. Collins Left Gunner, Twiggy Driver, if anyone of them remembered me please Call Joseph A. Collins 1337-309-0286 I feel that I definitely would love to explain every single question you may have to ask me, I love ❤️ all of you guys, my entire Unit, all you guy’s that I enjoyed talking with and being with, you know who you are, you will forever be my true Family!
