It's not rubbing it in Paul, it's letting people like myself who can't get there see what a fabulous show you put on. It looks brilliant I'm so pleased for you all 😊. You all work so hard & deserve a huge success 😊

Fantastic day out, we don’t own a classic car, but so enjoyed seeing the beautiful cars on display and appreciated the hard work of the owners. The Q&A sessions were great, the Nightingales sang lovely songs, the Mathewsons were wonderful hosts, the live auction unforgettable and we were blessed with the weather! It just couldn’t get any better! If you didn’t make it this year, don’t make that mistake next year.

May I Say, what a super super show. The whole thing was amazing, even the weather was on our side this year. I'm the guy with the train ride and mini fire engine. We put some big smiles on people's faces and had a great time. Thank you to all the amazing team for the hard work you have put in to this years show. As for the Mathewsons family, well, it was my pleasure to have Jack and Charlie on my train. The whole family are so friendly and welcoming. I can only amaengine their thoughts of the biggest auction crowd they have ever worked with. A very big pat on the back to all of you.

Neil Maiden who operates the train ride and the fire engine is a superb bloke. I met him last year and we hit it off straight away. It was great to meet up with Neil and his lovely wife Wainey this weekend. He's a really genuine bloke and he loves providing fun and entertainment for the kids. He's a real character and full of fun. TOP BLOKE! :)

Just to repeat my comments on previous video. The event was great once we got in . Traffic management into the site was terrible (though out was great). Took us 4 hours and an average speed of 18mph to travel 60 odd miles from Huddersfield, last 3 miles took an hour and a half, and it also took my brother in law 3 hours from Scarborough (should be 20 minutes). Queues for food and drink were massive, 100 yards plus, so we didn’t eat as a consequence. No sign posting in car parks, so loads of people roaming about looking for cars on exit, drop a pin or a what’s three word location when you park. Is this the right venue for what could be an ongoing great event? How about being a bit less parochial and look at Yorkshire venues that are experienced in handling large visitor numbers? Yorkshire Showground at Harrogate, or York Racecourse? (I have no interest in either).
@duncanwhitworth74913 ай бұрын
Castle Howard, or Sledmere House might be other options, but I’ve never been to a large scale attendance event at either.😊

We attended yesterday great event looked forward to it for ages, left my house at 08.30 and planned to be at the venue for 12.00, last 4 miles to the event took 2 hours…..still not sure what the issues were, but must have been as you turn off the A64 main road onto the feeder road to the show. We still enjoyed ourselves and bought the must have t shirt,

Traffic management was an absolute shambles. Planned to arrive at 10.30 by 1pm we turned around and went home. Total waste of £60. Not taking responsibility for the traffic chaos is unacceptable.

Tried to attend the show on Sunday but after sitting on the A64 for over 2 and a half hours decided not to bother and drove on to Scarborough. Certainly WILL NOT be attending again until a bigger venue is found as 4hrs from Sheffield really is beyond belief and we would have still had to queue down the access lane to get into the venue, and then walk from the car park to where it was all happening. 😲

We had a fabulous time . Travelled from North Wales on Friday to stay over for the show on Saturday did take us 5 hours but can truthfully say No problems at all getting in at 9.30am . Thank you to The Mathewson Family , UK tv and everyone for organising Bangers and Cash live . You can’t blame any of the guys for traffic issues If there’s an accident it’s just bad luck these things happen xx
@duncanwhitworth74913 ай бұрын
The entry hold up wasn’t down to an accident. It was due to having uncontrolled access into a single lane entry into the site for both east and westbound traffic off the A64, which created huge tailbacks in both directions. Must have been even more frustrating for locals who weren’t even going to the show.
@deborah84533 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comments . Was just going on what was said on the day about an accident by Derek . 🤷🏼♀️

@@deborah8453 just hope they can get it sorted or they can change to a more accessible venue next year. Otherwise a great show.

I guess like a lot of things it grows and then can be a victim of its own success !! They did say it was twice the size of last year ! As you say great show tho

We went yesterday, the location was Terrible, took 3 hours to do the A64 , masses of ques for everything. Won’t be going again next year 😢
@duncanwhitworth74913 ай бұрын
Delays were solely due to access into the site from westbound & eastbound traffic on the A64 resulting in huge queues in both directions.

Nightmare getting there (normal 1.5 hour journey took 4.5 hours). Seemed twice as big crowd as last year but because of the number of people certainly not better than last year ! Queuing for everything so missed more than I would have wanted. Great cars, great auction but just too many people. Love all the lads but victims of their own massive success !

Yes, I agree. I was there both days and it was evident to me that these events can become too big. In the end they ruin themselves which is a great pity.

Left Whitby at 09.30 and got to within 2 miles of venue at 11.45......gave up and went home. By the sounds of it would of taken at least another hour to get into venue. Also not impressed with no bringing your own food. Why should families with children not be allowed to bring own food especially considering the cost of on site food.
@kelvineveleigh78203 ай бұрын
Pickering to the venue in over 2 hours, said to be because of an accident but no evidence of it. Didn't bother on Sunday because the traffic was just as bad. Not Mathewsons fault. Poor traffic management by the organisers. I've complained to U&Yesterday. Let's see what they have to say fir themselves 😢
