I admit I giggled a lot! Love the humor! Customs can be a bit of a thorn in the side for shippers and recipients. In the early 1980s I had a large shipment from Egypt stuck in JFK Customs for over a month. I advised I would fly up in 2 days to handle everything in person. Within 2 hours they had 'graciously' managed to make necessary adjustments and the shipment would be en route to Georgia that day. Back then the documents were completed by hand. Absolutely no changes were made on the documents and the shipper's Arabic signature matched previous paperwork. After that I had shipments sent so the first US Customs encounter was in Atlanta. No more JFK.

Great question! It can vary a lot, depending on if we’re sourcing raw materials for a manufacturing run or buying overstock of finished products. In general, anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 months. 😅

Customs is a tricky world! No one can be an expert on everything, I guess. 😅 And miscommunications definitely happen. I will admit it was a bit hard to answer the actual question, “What are the Czech glass beads made of?” with a straight face in real life. HS codes can be a beast!
