I remember getting my wages in little envelopes like that. I turned 18 in January, at that point I could leave school to work for part of the day. I saved every dime I made. I graduated in June. Before July 1, I was working full-time and had my own apartment. I was leaving a pretty bad situation, so it was better than anything else I could’ve spent money on. Definitely grew up fast! Anyway, these are such lovely envelopes! I so enjoy watching you create. Give Simba some hugs for me. And try to cool and hydrated. Hugs ❤️🤗

Pretty envelopes Denise. You brought back memories for sure. My first were summer youth jobs. ( 15 yrs old and worked over summer vacation) My paychecks were one hundred some dollars. Definitely remember buying music albums and clothes. 🌼🌼🌼

These are both really pretty & sweet-looking! I love the color combination of kraft, forest moss (I think that’s what you said?!) & then the flowery pink & green pastel colors! So simple but very attractive! Also a very good “save” to turn the green one into a wallet! Recently I’ve been having a lot of “plan b’s” & I’m hoping I’ll have either better skill or luck to get something right the first time!! I’m blaming it on the heat. Today it was 100, with a feels like temp of 108 & we have all the windows open to try to catch a breeze, so it’s not really cooler inside…and I notice everything’s getting dustier inside..but I’m not going to deal with that right now!! I sat & covered junk mail flyers with Amazon packing paper, so I’ll have some new journal cards to decorate! Yippee! Maybe I’ll use the florals I’ve been fussy-cutting from a book! Erica❤

I remember getting my wages in those yummy brown envelopes. My first job was with the Pinesol Company. I hate the smell of Pinesol to this day! 😂😂😂😂 I BOUGHT NEW BELL BOTTOMS and a beautiful mustard color sweater and a pair of Camel color desert boots. 😂😂😂

Hi Denise, lovely envelopes, my first job was a temporary post in local government and so paid weekly just under five pounds, yes I am that old! My favourite buy was a pair of shoes (seconds) which I could buy and still have change, ah the good old days! Hope you are having a good weekend, take care xx 🌸

What pretty pieces Denise! Oh it's lovely to have a trip down memory lane 🙂I remember receiving my wages every month in those envelopes, paying my Mum for board, saving some and then spending the rest! Oh those days of freedom... 🙂I used to love buying records and could be found every Saturday with my friends in what became HMV. I used to buy a lot of makeup too, flying suits, handbags and shoes - I remember those lacy tights too, lol! Oh you've taken me back Denise... Have a lovely weekend 🥰❤
