When I had to deal with Japanese beetles. I sprayed them with Raid! As soon as I saw them. About 10 days of that drove them away.

I was having trouble with aphids and powdery mildew on my roses. A trusted friend and master gardener suggested Bayer Advanced 3-in-1 Rose Treatment. It's systemic. You mix it and pour around the bottom. No more aphids or mildew, and the beetles are crawling on my window screens instead of my beautiful roses. I think I treat 4-6 weeks so they are almost due. But it is so helpful!

What about diatomaceous or lime for those beetles or bugs? Put the diatomaceous in the ground around your bushes that's where they lay eggs...you may have to till the ground around the bushes first🙂...my mom was a gardener I learned a lot🌺 I read that neem/eucalyptus oil mixed in water helps also🤗

we use bettle bag bug bags you hang them and they have a scent thing that attracts them and they go in the bag I think lowes has them we put them up before they come they almost killed our roses one year hope this helps😊

I was outside doing yard work with my daughter too. Those stinking beetles on the roses is no joke! What I do is I get a cup of water with a bit of oil, and if I see one I shake it into the cup and the oil suffocates them. Otherwise they’ll flote alive, in the water, for days. I’ve got the knockout roses too. I deadheaded all my dead and dying roses which was overdue. From what I understand dead heading them encourages new rose growth. I loved your 4th of July pound cake!
