Fighting continued for several days and the total number of American troops reached near 7000 along with 300 troops from the _Organization of American States_ (OAS). The invading forces encountered about 1,500 Grenadian soldiers & roughly 700 armed Cuban nationals manning defensive positions. The People's Revolutionary Army possessed eight BTR-60PB armored personnel carriers & two BRDM-2 scout cars which they had received from the Soviet Union in February, 1981, but no tanks. Their arsenal also included twelve ZU-23 anti-aircraft guns, DShK heavy machine guns, & a limited number of M37 82mm mortars & RPG-7 Rocket-Powered Grenade launchers.

@PhoenixFires6 жыл бұрын
@@aamanpour3630 Grenada was invaded by the US in the 80s I believe after the Communist rebels executed the pro-American leader and his wife, leading to a few days of complete hellfire on the island and restoration of a pro-west, democratic government.
