My boyfriend and I say these two lines allll the time. I love how Ariana almost says “Please don’t fring frogs to my house!” which is what makes Beck almost break. She is so damn good- I wish she could be a full-time cast member. She makes it look so effortless, and like she has a great groove with the rest of the cast. I also love how she’s not afraid to get weird. :)

Taniece actually no, not in my experience. "They" are just regular guys who are of less than average intelligence. They know it and usually try to find ways to compensate. They're not crazy! They know if their parents are alive or dead for example and don't try to sit in cabinets haha. They have interests and hobbies but might be a bit more childlike and simple emotionally than the rest of us.

Oh I'm pretty sure people get them. It's not that hard. I always get their jokes or the angle, they're just usually never funny. They always take a very childish plot and deliver it with dumb or bad acting. There's no real, consistent wit behind their writing.

Taran Killam, Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, Jay Pharoah and Kate Mckinnon were all incredibly memorable and hilarious at the time these two had been upgraded to repertory status, but these two? They didn't cut the mustard for me.

@@linkeffect82 Yeah I agree. Beck and Kyle have such a specific brand it's pretty inaccessible. It's often delivered with Kyle's 'bad acting' routine, which thankfully he wasn't doing in here. I'm pretty tired of these two and them and their terrible skits. It's the kind of humour that always like "yeah, we get the joke...its just not funny. There's no wit behind it."

@@codycrossman The only sketches I'm aware of where Kyle's using bad acting intentionally are the "The House" reality show and 90s sitcom sketches, both of which are parodies of genres that are known for showcasing poor acting. And both sets of sketches are probably the best pieces of satire I've seen on the show. Anyways, Beck and Kyle have far more sketches where they're genuinely playing characters, and their acting is remarkably good in those. It's obvious that many can't connect with their comedy. They don't approach things in a way people are used to and it's not surprising they often draw more criticism (or unreasonable and hyperbolic disdain, rather). However the reactions to their sketches always indicate the majority of viewers both get it and _do_ find it funny.
