When I was a kid I had a rough time with abusive, alcoholic parents and didn't have much reason to laugh. But when I watched Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell on the Kenan and Kel show and All That, they made me laugh when I didn't think I could. And all these years later I still watch Kenan on SNL, and he's funny as ever. He'll always be one of my favorite people. If I ever met him, I'd thank him for sharing his gift of comedy with those who really needed a laugh in their lives. What's Up With That is one of my favorite SNL skits I've ever seen and he's brilliant in every one.

He's so masterful at selling this sketch every single time. This kind of cheerfully mischievous vibe where he shoots us little side looks after each rhyming adjective, facetiously pretending it's a surprise like, "I'm going to act like this is a surprise, but we all know where this going." Like when you tell your toddler the tickle monster might be around here somewhere. The imminence of it is a big part of the fun.

Out of all the genius Kenan has given us, What's Up With That is my favorite- so STUPID, but so FUNNY, on many Levels- and with all the craziness, big guests who never really talk, and Kenan always goin over the top, Jason Sudeikis in the Red Adidas track suit doing the running man is somehow always the icing on the cake....... KInd of reminds me of decades ago when Gary Shandling hosted and would 4th-wall during sketches to tell the audience how great the performers were and the others would freeze and (deliberately) look uncomfortable.
