From what I know he's highly renowned for his lyricism (Eminem brought him in and actually made him write some lyrics in the studio as a test because he was skeptical that Lamar was actually that good), and has had beefs with other rappers. So the joke here would be that Che is (being tricked into) starting a verbal war with one of the best writers in modern music, one he is completely incapable of winning.

No. You set it aside for the Season Finales, which does two things. 1. Builds up the anticipation from the audience. 2. Gives Che and Jost a chance to work on their best material during the season. If they go at it every week, they could either run out of material or the weekly material could water it down. Plus, it’s no longer as special.

So many people missing the genius setup Colin did for that Lamar joke. He makes Che read two p*do jokes: the alter boy one and the fake "you + me = 69" text to a middle schooler, implying that Che is a predator while also referencing the "F.A.N. he a 69 god" line in Not Like Us. And then the last line of the Lamar bit has Che quoting Lin-Manual Miranda as Hamilton, which is maybe the most famous white-washing of rap music ever made. Seriously smart writing from Jost.
