That first note slayed me. Like most of the comments here, I think she has a great voice but she also has that comedic ability to make it sound and look ridiculous at the same time. I think part of it is the faces she pulls through out the sketch.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm debating whether the singing is actually that ridiculous though.. I think it's more the context: when a character in a play or musical does this sort of singing soliloquy (there's probably an actual term for this), you never see all of these vocal flourishes (I'm sure there's an actual term for that too). Like, if you changed the words but had the same exact tune/vocal effects, I feel like this could easily be a professional pop song. (Though maybe a bit subdued/slow for one.)

The humour comes in the juxtaposition. Going from a high pitched innocent voice to leading with such low notes comes out of nowhere. Once you hear her full range it becomes impressive on top of unexpected.

You know the "this character is so crazy, let's have everyone react to how crazy she is," script to a tee, but she adds so much life to the material and makes it feel fresh. There's none of the usual where oh someone is making a wacky face, laugh here. A starmaking performance. Then everything gets better and better - Timothee's reactions to her, Mikey as her creepy boyfriend, and the ending.
