I dated a guy for nine months who lived with his mother and sister, and both women were like this to the point I was convinced something incestuous was going on. If we were sitting down to watch a movie and holding hands or cuddling, his mother or sister would come and sit in between us. If we were going out for a date, his sister (she was 14 years old btw) would get down on the ground and latch onto his legs like a toddler so he couldn’t leave the apartment, and his mother thought it was the cutest funniest little thing. Also when the sister would get stressed she would go grab one of his pillows and smell it until she calmed down. I ended up breaking up with him because his mother and sister would just magically show up at wherever we were having our date (“oh, you decided to go out for sushi too?! That is such a funny coincidence!” or “no way! What are the odds we go to the same movie at the same theatre?!”) and they were pretty bad to me, and he never defended me. It scared me that he thought this behaviour was normal. Always keep your eyes open because the red flags are always there.

I had a problem like that with a exes sister, from the age of 12-14. She was jealous we spent more time together. She even told him "you dont hang out with me as much as you used to". That is how life works though. We grow up and make our own family. I'm not saying you stop talking to family, but you do see them less. What's funny, is my siblings didnt have a problem with it. It really seemed to me she was attracted to him. I don't know why..it just seemed that way.

I was married to this guy. He liked to have his head and neck rubbed, and it usually put him “in the mood.” One day, he was driving with me in the passenger seat, and his mom sitting behind him. She started rubbing his head, scratching her nails on his scalp and the back of his neck. Speaking to me, she said “he loves getting his head rubbed. Did you know that?” I said “...uh, yeah, I did.” Sooooo awkward. We’re divorced now.

Who knows where these drives come from? An Oedipus complex is suburban and benign by today’s standards. Could be instinctual. I watched a big cat documentary once, and I think I remember it saying that Cats, and other mammals, get a rush of endorphins when having their back neck touched. It was theorized that this goes back to when they’re kittens and their mothers pick them up by their napes.

@ Brad Carss..... Well Brad the real question is, for any waffles or just mama's waffles? Just kidding.... I did have a BIL who just exploded when his new wife, my sister, poured Karo syrup on his french toast instead of powdered sugar like his mom always served it. P.S. The marriage didn't work out.

They are looking at cue cards. They try to get them to look as close as they can at the direction of the person they are talking to, but at the end of the day, they can’t have it as realistic as you’d want them to because they only have a week to think of sketch ideas, make props, rehearse, etc. It would be very difficult for them to do all of that and fully learn their lines. It’s just best they use cue cards even though it can be annoying to some that they aren’t looking directly at the other person.
