@@87clami It's a cultural thing... his clothing, at least in NY, is more typically African American than European American. Just judging by clothes, he probably wouldn't be run the same circles as the two women, whereas they could switch outfits and no one would notice. Does that make sense? And Please, that's just a wide generalization! There's obviously nuance that we're ignoring to let the joke work. Anyone else want to weigh in?

I dated a white woman a few months ago. As we were walking, she started seeing black and white couples go by and decided to say, "I've been noticing more interracial couples lately." @roger james hunter White privilege does not mean or imply that whites do not have the same basic needs and desires as black people, nor that they do not have any struggles. What it does mean, sir, is that simply by virtue of having white skin whites do not have to worry about being targeted or discriminated against for their skin color alone on the scale that black Americans do. Many blacks in America do not have equal access as most whites to, well, pretty much everything: health care, education, jobs, grocery stores, etc. Perhaps even more alarming, many black folks have legitmate concern that every time their teenage son drives his car, particularly after dark, that he could be pulled over and shot or targeted by racist people while pumping gas and an "I'ma teach this boy a lesson" turns into him lying in the hospital. A black father explaining to his young daughter that she is BEAUTIFUL, not "beautiful for a black girl," when she asks what that means. These are just a couple illustrations of what is meant by white privilege. Cheers & be well.

SASHA HM02 you have no idea how deep that was. Normally when a white person says something racist and you the I have black friends line to cover it up it just means that the blacks friends they claim to have have been stripped of their blackness by that said white person in order for the backlash person to become their friend

@@kikiwest2001 I would think that each race or nationality has culture that is attached to it. To never acknowledge one's ethnicity is to not appreciate the differences in the nationalities. As a Christian we sing a song called, "Jesus Loves The Little Children". One line is Red,Yellow, Black and White they are precious to His sight. If we all saw each other as precious as the Lord does then we would get along better and we would have peace.
