Observing Saturn and Jupiter through my Telescope. Italian Astronomer Galileo Galilei was probably the first human, who saw Saturn and Jupiter through a Telescope. He used a Refractor (Lens Telescope) not a Reflector (Mirror) like in this Video. The View of Galileo was worse, he couldn't figure out what he was seeing. It was Christiaan Huygens who identified them as rings.
The Footage was made with the Svbony Planet Camera:

Radius (diameter) of Saturn is about 120.000 km and the radius of Earth is about 12.700 km so we can say Saturn is 10 times bigger than earth in radius. But if you add the radius of rings we can say it's 21 times bigger than our earth .. Thanks for nice video.. Wish good and clear nights and skies ..

Thank you so much for your videos. Beautiful pictures and soundtrack! Your videos are helping me get into astronomy and observing all sorts of things. :) Quick question: is the weight of your telescope a problem for your mount? Online, your mount says it's weight capacity is 44lbs (20kg), but your telescope's weight is 53lbs (24kg).
@Astromagazine
@Astromagazine 2 жыл бұрын
The Telescope weight is with the Dobsonian Mount. If you want a Equatorial Mount you should only get the Tube (Newton/Refractor) :)

Hey There.. I am a total beginner .. and looking to buy a telescope .. (something that can keep me busy for a long time ) and I do have interest in photography as well.. After search for days I found Orion 8″ f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector Telescope pretty convincing.. need your review on that.. will be very helpful.. or if you can suggest few other telescopes that would be great..
