I have this placement and it's hard not to be angry. It seems like labor and effort produce no fruit and that you lose 20 years of your life for no real reason. I have visions of this placement akin to a farmer planting and tilling for years at a time, but then the rain never comes, so nothing grows. Years of his life are wasted on an empty field. When I had my Saturn return, I became overwhelmingly frustrated with myself and it became my mission to transform. My childhood was difficult, the father is estranged and I felt like the parent in the mother/child dynamic. I felt exhausted with life early on, I never exercised and ate whatever I wanted, but I became determined to be healthier, I lost weight, built strength, routine and showing up for myself daily. 4 years on from that journey, I can see that it was just the first step in a foundation for self disipline and tenacity that I need in this lifetime in order to succeed in all areas of life. Absolutely marvelous explanation, I have this particular combination with taurus as the sign for the Saturn in the first house. With regards to what you said about Saturn closing doors in a no-nonsense flavor for myself is extremely true as well as only accepting hard work as the price for goals that want to be achieved. I have personally observed many many times where other people partaking in various different pursuits and actions in life will do so with relative ease not always of course however whereas when I then do the same or similar actions obstacles, trials and many times as said above the door will close to myself in regard to these pursuits and actions. Honestly, I hate this placement however I must say that there are rewards especially in regard to general mental, physical and spiritual toughness in everyday life as well as what you said with developing wisdom from the many obstacles and failures.
