My friend confessed to me, that she was bisexual and had feelings for me. I am a straight woman and nobody ever told me straight to my face, and I had never thought much about it. But, I supported her at all costs, never treated her any different. Watching this episode made me much more educated about the problems that people with different sexuality face, but I just want to tell you, even if you're gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, demisexual, trans, or any other sexuality, if you're a good human, my good wishes and love is with you. ❤️

To all of you saying gazal is very beautiful for a trans woman, after taking hormones and transitioning medically trans people look exactly like cis people. You can't differentiate between them. The way transgenders are portrayed in indian movies and society as just people who beg on the roads is just awful wrong stereotypes which is wrong. And also saying she is pretty for a transwoman or he is handsome for a transman is pretty disrespectful and wrong Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Stop comparing them with cis people. Just respect them no matter how they look to you

@yume6933 жыл бұрын
Everytime I watch this show I literally fall for aamir for who he is.
I watched this episode 3 years after it was aired. My parents weren't very accepting of the topic so they switched to another channel. They were very convinced that Homosexuality, Bisexuality and Transsexualism are all the result 'western influence' in our country. They didn't hesitate to voice it out when the episode aired. That was the time when I was struggling with my own identity and my sexuality. I was in love with a girl then and when my parents said that, I was totally taken aback. I convinced myself that I was just imagining my love for her because I still clearly was attracted to boys as well. It took me 2 years to accept the fact that I am a bisexual. It took me another year to tell my mother about it. I was prepared for the worst but surprisingly that didn't happen. She accepted me for who I was. And now we talk all about the situation in which I get her a daughter-in-law rather than a son-in-law. She loves me and she made sure that I know that. I haven't told my father yet. I won't tell him anything until I'm financially stable and independent. I think he will accept me as well. He loves me too much!

My daughter told me at the age of 47 yrs that she had found someone she wanted to spend her life with. I was so happy. With the next breath she said that it was a girl. I was shocked and silenced. I went up to my room and lay down for half an hour. I am a psychiatrist. I said to myself that I want my daughter to be happy. I did not want to lose her from my life. So I then went and saw her and smiled at her. I told her that I did not want to talk her about it then, but we would speak about it later. As a psychiatrist, I understood the situation. It took a few days for me to accept that this was happening in my home. I then told her that she could bring Triona to meet. We live in the U.K.. Today they have been together for nearly twenty years and are very happy.

The story of each and every person here was so full of sorrow. But the outcome was always affirmative. People who can place themselves in the shoes, will be able to understand. They will understand the joys and pains of being a part of this beautiful community. Thank You Satyamev Jayate for bringing this to me♥️

Hei, I just want to say that being gay or lesbian is just as similar as being a normal human being...the only difference is that they like the people of their own gender. I think that discrimination will reduce only when we stop treating the people of LGBTQ community as BICHARA and ALAG from us...just play with them, eat with them and do everything with them as you do with the hetrosexual ones...and we should start accepting the fact that people like this exist and do have the same rights as we have... :) :)

my favorite episode so far. Indian society care too much about society and neighbors and what they will think and about their prestige that they actually forget about their own kids happiness and life. but am glad to see that so many parents are open and friendly and accept how their kids are. a new era in India has begun. i hope everyone is open and accept each other equally..that punjabi dadi rocked!!

this show and seeing everyone in the comments from 8 years back talk about being queer is just really so great💞 I'm bi but it took a quite some years for me to realise that, back when the show aired I didn't even know it was possible to like someone of the same gender or that there were different genders and sexualities at all... we so need more shows like this and lgbt rep in media to get people aware

Watching this video, made me cry... For the lives of their testimonies, their struggles, their experiences while growing up into mature adults.they were so admirably strong souls, they're so lucky to have such loving and understanding parents. To the parents, I thank them for that real love and accept the reality.of course they were parents,but nowadays parents expect extreme hopes for their human children. ... At least they're the loving kind of parents. I love the show.😇

I love the fact that this show is supporting these people.... It brings courage to come out to family members and friends.... Not to mention that those members or friends will also try to understand what all these people have to go through to be able to even accept themselves as a member of LGBTQ..... I'm really proud 😌. Thank you # satyamevajayateteam 😊😊 for bringing quality content for us :)
This makes me so happy, I don't often see the side of the adult Indian community usually accepting being anything other than cisgendered and heterosexual. This gives me so much hope for a more accepting future :)

This is must watch episode for all parents in India and Indian parents living abroad. If Gazal had not gotten the support from her Mom And Dad can you imagine what could have happened to her. I am also a parent and on top of that a liberal one. We all need to listen to children and need to forget "LOG KAYA KAHENGE" you own children should be the priority. I Give Gazals mom and Dad A+ for understanding their daughters plea and above all I give Gazal A+ for keeping her parents on a high pedestal

Seems like Amir/the show is doing more to bring progress to the country than anyone else (politician/celebrity). Thanks again for a great show and an amazing lineup of guests who were so willing to share their story :)
