For international listeners; Sivert Høyem is a Norwegian blues vocalist, he's known for his deep voice and has such acclaimed songs as Prisoner of the Road and Endless Love.

I wouldn't quite call it blues, but I'm unfamiliarized with his solo albums. Blue's inspired, ok. His work with Madrugada is fantastic and Industrial Silence is, in my opinion, a nothing-short-of-amazing, dark and melancholic indie album. In the vein of Nick Cave, Cohen, etc. with a hint of (good) Pearl Jam "poppiness" to it.

I remembered my first time hearing this. It was absolutely unpredictable. Not your typical clean vocals and screaming. Just that its Sivert's singing alone made it a masterpiece And the lyrics are amazing. Every time I play this song I have to put it on repeat for a while before I can move on to another song. The guitars, the drums, the choir in the background, everything is perfect about it... well, to me at least :)

Well, this is unbelievable gold in my opinion. And against the stuck heads, yearing cause Sivert presence in this particular song, I'm fall in love with this one from first listening. This is massive. Beautiful. With such passive-aggressive word meaning in it. I wish there will be more and more sounds like this. 🖤
