@WaechterDerNacht I can assure you, it's really not 😄 They only live in Lapland, meaning in the northern part of Finland and even there they are more often living wild and hearded than being pets. Of course there are also some that are pets and some that are semi-domesticated and live like next to hotels and let people pet for example. But that's not a mainstream thing for all Finns to have even seen live, much less to have as pets 😄

@@magicofshootingstar5825 yes, it's just very clichée... I've not been to Finnish Lapland yet. But I've been to Swedish Lapland in a place where they heard reindeer and driven through areas with reindeer in Norway. There, you cross those short sections on the road with the tubes, so they don't walk out. By the time you've forgotten about it (20min of driving), you suddenly see the heard chill on the road and take their time to let you pass. After another 20 min of driving you cross those tube sections again - just to remind you that you've driven the past 40 min on the field where they heard the reindeer 😅

@WaechterDerNacht I don't think we have any tubes in Finland but yeah, as a person from southern/middle Finland I do understand that it's an experience always to drive in Lapland. You just need to be extra vigilant because you never know when there is a reindeer and what it will do 😄 At least we have a thing that straightly translates to "reindeer care area" which is most of the Lapland and it just means that the Reindeers roam free there and people need to be careful 😂 Locals of course know the habits of reindeers and which areas they will roam at which time of the year but as a tourist, you never know 😃

Rosa, it's a girl 😄 And Rudolph is English name anyway, Rudolph the rednose reindeer is Petteri punakuono in Finnish 😉
