If your checking a mixer channel that has other mixer channels fed into it, if your hold alt then righ click the solo of the channel it will also solo the channels being fed into it

If you do this before your mixdown, keep in mind that if you want to export your stems, they will be summed up to whatever buss you routed them to and the original sounds won’t be affected. So make sure if you want all your sounds to have certain effects on them you’ll have to add them on single mixer tracks and not into one buss. Saying this just in case you are someone looking to mix of EVERY element of your track. I think it might be good to have buss stems for reference tho ;).

I use Patcher (as a generator, not an effect) and do my mixing for each instrument in their respective Patcher. I barely use the mixer and if I do, I use Patcher instead of the effect slots.

I use fl different to most people I have my hardware on channels 1 and 2. And one instance of Serum on 3. If i want to change to another synth I just take off Serum and put whatever in its place. Whatever synth sounds I render, go on the other channels. I very rarely use the mixer faders (I gain stage before the mixer and rendering). And effects are done usually before I render. So eq or maybe some light reverb or delay is done on the audio after. And some side chain on the bass. My CPU never gets above 50% like this. I think i do it like that because when i started using fl, my computer was weak on the CPU. So i worked mostly with rendered audio. But I like doing it that way still. It just keeps things neat and tidy not having loads of synth plugins. But some good tips here.👍

you can do that, they are called custom project templates. you can customize the console in the mixer in whatever way you like and make it your default project when starting new projects
