The first time she did this song at the concert the wind was blowing her hair in her face so the tv company asked her to sing it again. Straight after! That is what you are seeing. On 10th of July I watched her in Norway - she did 18 songs. She had such a good time, laughing and chatting with the crowd. She dedicated this song to her Grandmother so was pretty emotional.

Yes, the studio version is so insanely good. I really enjoy your journey with Angelina Jordan. Angelina is so humble... I mean, the girl started crying prior to singing suspicious minds. The reason? She began talking about how grateful she was that people took the time to come and see her. She continued crying after the song began. Angelina is much better when interacting with others, but she is still so genuinely shy that it is sometimes hard for her to get out what she wants to say. But there was no question of her feelings for her fans when she spoke of her appreciation for those fans.

I read your comment here, and now I'm shedding tears over Angelina's humble sweetness and gratitude "that people took the time to come and see her"! What!? Yes, Angelina! Like, swim shark infested waters to come see you! But she's probably not a belter. Maybe if she did like a Whitney Houston song. But it's probably beyond her abilities. So she goes into a studio and belts maybe THE BEST version of THIS Whitney Houston song every recorded. And that criticism was forever put to rest. She's totally got the chops in every direction one could ever need. And now she casually sings maybe THE most difficult song in live shows. SO BA-BAMM!!! What do you think of me now??

Congrats, you have just discovered the most accomplished child vocalist of all time, Angelina Jordan. Please take the time to read the biography I compiled for my all-time favorite musical artist. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on KZbin. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farsi, English and has sung a song in Japanese. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. Angelina plays the piano and guitar and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on KZbin went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. A 9 years old, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a KZbin video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT which would give Simon control over her career. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on KZbin. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. She sang since 1,5 years old and practiced 35 hours a week since around 3 years old. At 16 years, she is a seasoned pro and master artist. Great reaction. You talked about her being confident. Can you imagine? This was her first time on stage in almost three years and her first time back in Norway in that same time period. Last time she was on stage was when she was 13, singing on America's Got Talent. Then she comes here and sings on a wildly popular TV programme that have been running every summer for the last 15 years here in Norway. However, this is the last season. This was also Angelina's fourth time performing on this programme. She actually performed two songs here, this being the last. The first performance was "Bohemian Rhapsody" which she also performed on AGT, and which gave her the Golden Buzzer by Heidi Klum. And, like other people here have commented already, this was her second take of the song, back to back, only separated by roughly 30 seconds. What a stamina and strong voice. Her diapraghm support is out of this world. In my humble opinion, Angelina is THE best female singer in the world right now, regardless of age. No one else can sing so seemingly effortlessly across 8 genres like she does, often times outperforming the original artists, both vocally and in the way she emotes, essentially making the songs hers. When she has doubled her age she will approach her peek. Chew on that for a moment and bow down to the Queen 😉 Love from Norway♥♥♥

Loved your spot on message to her at the end also. Nailed it. Amazing combination of attributes sending her upward always. Only thing stopping her improvements is if one day she can't find anything difficult anymore. Then she may create something more difficult. Who knows, but that is the kind of special something in the real masters of their craft. Her work ethic and love for what she is doing, with humility and drive to improve, despite already being great. Some people reach the big leagues and aren't as hungry anymore, a bit cocky, and it's rather human. But once in a while someone never stops.

I am glad to hear that you are interested in donating to help others (of course you are, you have a great of gold) my mom at one time was nursing director at a rehab center and took many classes at Hazelden in Minnesota. When I lived in Philadelphia I worked with the mentally ill homeless population until I moved from that area and got into a different career. It takes special people to work with these populations (not that I'm all that special, lol) and I think you would be an amazing counselor. Actually this was probably the worst of three performances in Norway (but skewed because when filming it the first time they screwed the pooch with the sound recording after which she re-sang it 2 min later the whole damn song. The third one of her concerts probably was the best. The video that dropped yesterday, I believe was supposed to drop first. It worth watching...a total gift to all her fans. "My thoughts"? Is that it's extremely disturbing to hear a grown up man sexualise a teenage artist, simply for looking beautiful, and joke about imprisoning your own child. It speaks about an antiquated view on women being the property of men that is absolutely unheard of over here in Norway (which is also Angelina's country). My dad?
