After doing Parkrun this morning in the Pro 3 (around 200km on them) I went into my local running shop and tried on the Pro 4. The laces are better on the 4 as is the tongue. They definitely have a bit more bounce in them. This was on the tred mill not on the pavement. All my Saucony road and trail shoes are a UK 10.5. They only had the UK 10 in the shop but it actually felt a slight bit roomier in the toe box. I think a 10.5 would be too big for me. Yes I would buy a pair for sure when needed.

0:47 Great review, good to see a review from a hot and humid location. Also someone closer to my age is great. Regarding sizing. I find The Speed 3 a bit narrow in the toebox but Pro 3 OK. Did Saucony widen the toebox in the Speed 4? In the video Pro 4 looks a bit shorter and wider than the Speed 4❓

Hi. I only received the Speed 3 in the winter/shield edition, so I can't comment on the regular version. The Speed 4 in the regular edition is definitely wider than the Speed 3. Length-wise, I would say they are the same.

Question - I find the Speed 3 mushy after an hour or so of long runs.. The midsole was getting tired? Need for a stiffer plate? Is the midsole in the Speed 4 more like the midsole in the Pro 3 which never dies on me ❤ ❓

The midsole in the Speed 4 feels quite different from either the Speed 3 or the Pro 3 in my experience. It doesn't feel mushy to me (currently around 143 lbs - 65kg, 5ft10 - 178cm), but due to my injury, I haven't run very long in them. The plate is definitely not stiff. The forefoot is still quite flexible.

@@markoljustina I have a new EP3 in the box waiting for the EP3 I run in to die but they last long. I think the outsole in the heel where I land is the first thing to go.. At the moment I do my weekend long run in them.

@johnfoster2824 the UK 10 felt the same as my UK 10.5 Pro 3 that I had on when I went into the shop. They didn't have the 10.5 in the shop. I've got at least 10 pairs of road and trail Saucony's all 10.5

Big fan of Saucony! Went thru a bulk cycle in lifting so heavier and they don’t feel as good during my runs. I’m cutting now and they will feel great again in about 2 months. BTW, bulking and running doesn’t mix well. 😅

It must be better,,, knowing the boston 12 has 2nd version of lightstrike Pro, but it feels brick probably when you reach a certain kilometer.
