Jamie, your review was son convincing that I went out and got me a pair of these shoes. Saucony did kill it, took them for a 6 miler and it was awesome and by far my fastest 6 mile run. Went for my first run (5k) in them today. This baby wants to go fast. Was expecting to have soreness in calves after but had none. They feel a bit soft and bouncy while walking but when you pick up the pace running they feel smooth. I usually like med-firm shoes w flex to land forefoot. This one has more bounce and stack than I usually wear but all my worries disappeared while running. It’s flexible enough and very light. I was also worried I might hear some slapping w strike but there was none. Agree w Jami’s points regarding the upper. They look dope too. Happy w my purchase. Nice tech, less money !

Just did a first run in these - an easy 6 miles just to see how they felt... Yeah, shoe of the year and it’s not even close. Even with a “plate,” it’s truly a do-it-all shoe.

I just started running. I was going to buy the Triumph17 for my max cusion recovery long run days. What do you suggest for a faster shoe, Asics Novablast, Peg 2, or Enorphin Speed?

Unxpekted I guess it depends on your preferences. If you like cushioned, bouncy shoes (that have unstable ride) I would recommend Novablast. If you want a speed shoe that have firm ride( but, enough comfort) with a low budget, Adidas SL20 is good. For peg2 (if you meant turbo2) can always be a safe choice. As for Endorphin speed, I can’t say anything about it right now, because mine haven’t came yet. I hope this helps your shoe choice for speed days. Thank you 🙏

@@Unxpekted i started to run a year ago. I've bought 5 pair of great shoes on sale, rather than 2 pair for full price. I'm very happy about that decision for many reasons. Not only do I have more shoes in my rotation, I also have the exact tool for the type of trail, speed, day, training, mood, etc 🙂

Hi Jamison. If I could ask you recommendation on what shoe to buy I would appreciate it. I started running a year ago. I average about 24 miles a week, suffered ankle injury 10 years ago so I prefer a shoe with ankle support. I'm a little overweight so I guess I need "cushion for the pushing". "People are going to say, 'you shouldn't heal strike!'". I love it. After competitively running cross country and track for over 10 years, I've never heard so many people complaining about other people's form and the "right" gear until the past 5 years or so. That just wasn't a thing 10-20 years ago. In high school and college it was wearing team colors and shoes you could afford or what was team issued. Gear and form didn't stop us from being our best or our fastest. It was the physical and mental training that came along with the sport. Paying $200+ for something you're just going to wear down wasn't even a thought back then. It's nuts how expensive shoes are now.

Absolutely correct. I've been in it since the initial running boom of the 70's. When it started people ran in whatever they could get. Most shoes were foam rubber not even EVA. Uppers were straight sheets of nylon. Outsoles were sheets of rubber poured into a waffle pattern and indiscriminately cut and glued to the foam rubber "midsole".

I've got both of the Endorphin platey bois and I can't help but think that they are game changing good. The faster you run in them, the more amazing they are, but even elite jogging around they feel damn fine. Now when wearing non-plated shoes I'm kind of frustrated by the fact that they are not the Endorphins and don't have dat snap. Their midsole material is amazing. None of the instability of the vaporfly, but all of the speed - as far as I can tell. The speedroll geometry is not a gimmick. Smooth turnover for days.

Mine came in today and I think these are going to be the shoes I've been waiting for. The Kinvara 11's will be in tomorrow. Maybe I'll keep both? *Update I decided to keep the Endorphin Speed and send the Kinvara 11's back. The Kinvara's are a great shoe and fit really nice, but the cushioning was a little too firm for what I need right now. Still a great shoe and I urge anyone to try both the Endorphin Speed and Kinvara 11's.

I just bought endorphin speed. very good shoes. my previous shoes was kinvara 9. Endorphin is very springy, so it makes you run faster. No joke. I’m not crazy about sports equipments, but endorphin speed really makes difference.

For everyday runner paces this shoe feels almost identical to the 4%. Its softer than pro. cush more like vaporfly. just slightly less rigid which is a good thing. Pro feels more like a 5k to half shoe to me. Significantly firmer ride. Both great but man you could train and race in the speed for less. These will go 300 miles for sure. Very durable.

@@Unxpekted Speed easily. I use the Triumph 17 for easy and easy long as well. Speed will be more for Tempo runs or faster long runs. I use the Pro for 5k-half and intervals/track. I am saving and using 4% for marathon only.

For a shoe that has (likely) been used very often since February, the outsole durability is jaw dropping: looks barely worn in, whereas most other outsoles would have likely been worn out in parts. That Crystal Rubber Saucony use has to be the best on the market for durability.
